Elderly Ghost couple plus ghost cat!

  When I was first married, my husband and I lived in an old house. It was a duplex, and the other side of the house was vacant. I used to see a man an a woman, they looked elderly, walking down the stairs from the upper level to the living room, and then they would disappear. I also would hear footsteps in the attic, as well as the attic door opening by itself. There was no way it could just open, it was a brand new door, and my husband put a new doorknob on it. My husband also had a cat that had past away at the old age of 17. He was very attached to her, and took her loss very hard. I had seen her gray shape running around the house, and a few times I would feel her jump up on to the bed at night. My cat would sometimes let out a meow, as if saying hello. I never felt scared in the house, even when I was alone. I felt that the old couple used to live in that house, and they were just making sure we were taking care of it.
