Ghost takes picture of himself!
.
Michael writes, "Enclosed you will find a duplicate photograph of one that has amazed & befuddled us since we discovered it in the middle of a series of photos about 2 years ago. The photo series was comprised of 2 segments taken several months apart. The first part consisted of photographic evidence of storm damage to our apartment which were all taken the same day. The second series were of the sort that the British might call "family snaps". Enclose is what we found, upon development of the film roll, situated between the two. Allow me to to state, most emphatically, that neither Dawn nor myself took this photograph! No other persons reside here; no other family member or friend has ever had access to the camera which "photographed" this image. After the initial shock of the find subsided, we decided to determine where the camera would have to be positioned to "take" this photograph. Peering through the view finder we discovered that to compose the scene one would have to be holding the camera no more than a foot above the floor! The essentially  "invisible" table on which the telephone rests, at which the camera was "pointed" up, is only 15 inches high. What astounded us beyond this was that to duplicate the composition exactly, we had to move a plush chair that up until that point, had NEVER been removed from that spot! What lies beyond the lens that virtually obliterates the "photographed" scene is that about which we can only speculate. Jim, you have received & posted any number of intriguing & thought-provoking photographs of  "ghosts". Could this perhaps be the first "taken" BY a ghost? I am in no position to disprove this theory. I'm impressed with what Michael has submitted!
