What a fake!!!Those people know there is a child
around the house who was going to sneak and take a picture. He pushed the button
to soon as most kids do.He was sneaking behind a fish tank and got his
reflection as well as the fish and the two (yes 2) ladies above the man's
shoulder on the left of the picture. You can see one actually coaxing him to
sneak and take the picture. cbriggs@chartertn.net

It
is very obviously double exposure. If you look closely at the boy's eyes, one
sees that one is, in fact, red, albeit a very dark red. It appears as if the boy
got red eye in one of his eyes in the picture, and that his other is naturally
blue. When the picture was double exposed over the other picture, the colors
faded out, leaving his one eye an eerie red color and the other a faded out
blue. Second, the child's shadow would appear in the back of the original
picture, and when the pictures combined, it also transposed. It doesn't make
sense to have a shadow if the child was a ghost, and it also holds that even if
the child was to cast a "ghostly shadow", it would not be orientated
in the direction that is it. The light source of the camera flash would not
promote a shadow at that angle. It makes the idea that another, different light
source would have to be involved. Since we do not have the original background
of the first picture, we cannot determine the orientation of the light source on
the child. The double exposure idea also explains why the background of the
picture is as fuzzy as it is. PS- If you look at the facial features of the
child and the adult in the photo, they look close enough to warrant being
related. This also makes a case for a double exposure of two pictures on a
single roll of film. trhodes@gwu.edu |

If u
look at the left of the picture around the middle, it looks a lady wearing
glasses. It's very faint, but it's there. The picture seems real enough for
us. Queenwitch72904@aol.com |

It looks like there is another person behind
the guy's right shoulder, left of the photo. It looks like a woman, maybe his
mother¿ i think this pic is 100% real abeen1@chello.nl

The photo has been taken through a fish tank with a
moderate flash. The fish tends to give it away a little, as does the distortion
of the man's head, the faded coloring of the room and the washed out shadow. Oh
yes, and the kid's hands holding the camera don't aid the ghost theory that
much. Simon.Brewer@tesco.net

If
the family really wants to know why the boy is there, and what he wants from
them they need to bring a medium in to try to contact the young spirit. I sagest
they do some meditating to open there minds to there spirit guides so that they
my get the answers from them. This may be a child who is alive and is
experiencing Astroprojection. All people have this psychic abilities when young,
but most of us block it out by the time we are old enough to understand what is
happening to us. The child in the picture may be doing astroprojection in his
sleep without knowing what he is doing. He may think he is just dreaming. The
boy may also be a spirit trying to be playful with the family. He may want some
attention and recognition that he is around, and wants the family to know he is
staying there too. Good luck to the family. Heather hkuharchek@pfsweb.com |

Hi my husband and I are founders of Southern
New England Ghost Hunters Society of CT and we recently moved to Florida and are
now Southwest Florida Ghost Hunters Society, located in Fort Myers. Anyway, this
picture is fantastic. My first thought was, oh that obviously double exposure or
developers error. One of the first things I looked for was the shadows. In the
close up especially, the man has his own shadow which is evident behind his
right shoulder. However, the boy, not only has 2 different colored eyes, but is
reacting as most kids that age when having their picture taken, want to be right
up in front! He casts a rather large shadow for the angle of the photo, and
nothing else in the picture is wrong, I would think if it was double-exposed
there would be other things in the picture out of place. You can see through him
to the man but not consistently! absolutely fantastic! flghosts@hotmail.com

I think the pic is real. I
have d/l it, and reversed the colors, and there it definitely shows that there
is a shadow on the right side of the man, his whole shoulder is darker than it
should be (shadow). Not
only that but I think the hand you see, is the hand of the boy, the boy tried to
reach out for the camera or something. And how could it be that the transparency
level is different at the top compared to the bottom of the photo. If you ask
me... this is totally real! Michael van.buuren@quicknet.nl

I
think the theory about the picture being taken looking through a fish tank is
good, but wouldn't the kids reflection of his face be blocked by the camera?

After reviewing this photo, I believe that it is not
a double exposure and that the spirit of this child wants and needs to be
acknowledged. Was any info given on the history of the house? ranch1977@aol.com

The
August Mystery Photo is a fake or an accidental double exposer. 1.) The photo of
the boy is taken with a flash. You can tell by his brightly lit face and the
large shadow behind him. 2.) The shadow is NOT projected on the wall with the
man in it because a.) it's a separate picture and can't be. b.) there is no
deformation when it goes to wall to ceiling. it may look like it but look
again..it's just the curvature of the shadow fooling your eye. 3.) The two
colored eyes are easily explainable. They're really one color but since the
picture is a double exposure the boy is slightly transparent. Thus his eye that
is over the skin tone of the man is gonna be a reddish color (due to the skin
tone of the man showing through the relatively bluish black original color of
his eye area). Therefore the eye that is above his shoulder appears generally
bluish-black b/c of the area behind that eye. Look at the eybrows..they do the
same thing..as well as the hair. Zach zwp1@Ra.MsState.Edu |

I puzzled over something I thought I saw in the
photograph and then saw that someone else (Thundershorts) noticed the same
thing. There appears to be a fish on the right hand side of the photograph. It
just hovers there above, what appears to be a fairly real looking hand. This
leads me to believe that the photograph of the man was taken through a fish tank
by the kid (who we see reflected in the glass of the fish tank). Just my
opinion-- but if there is any other explanation for the flying fish in the
living room, then I'd like to hear it! :o) As for the shadows on the wall--
You'll note that the mans left shoulder (on the right side of the photo) casts a
very dark shadow, and the one we assume is the child's is on the ceiling and
wall-- yet curiously it is not on the man or you'd see it on his shirt, again,
at his left shoulder.) So, perhaps the shadows are a not what they
appear to be. I think the photo is interesting, but easily reproduced. lars.nordstrom@snet.net

Notice the hand in the lower right corner? Someone
is HOLDING up a mirror, has a bright light shining on the little kid to catch
the reflection, and is taking a picture of the mirror and its contents! If you
do not believe me, then try to re-create this for yourself. Get a large mirror,
a Polaroid camera, a bright light, and someone to hold the mirror without doing
a very good job of hiding their hand. It is
NOT uncommon for a person (young or old) to have two different color eyes. I
have a friend who has a green eye and a blue eye. The kid in this photo does NOT
have multi-colored eyes. The discoloration is caused by the flash and the retina
reflecting the light back to the mirror in an odd manner. It is all angles and
easily achieved. dsp@brennick.com

Yes, the eyes do tell all. I agree with
ArchmageErana that the "redeye" points to this being a double exposure
or processing anomaly. A detailed story of the premises might help support
the ghost theory... fjeff24@qwest.net

A lot
of attention is being brought to the eye color when really his eyes are just
clear. Note that his 'brown pupil' is the same color as his hair,
and the left side of his face. And his blue pupil is the same color as the
wall behind him, and the man's shirt. I'm going to have to go with the
transparency idea. ~Chris herothewarrior@home.com |

That
photo is excellent! I believe it's the real thing. I took a photo class and
developed my own pictures. This would be impossible to do and you would need
expensive tools to attempt something like this. And it wouldn't look good.

Yet
another interesting ghostly photo! I agree with Jim on this one, especially
about the shadow on the wall. Making an observation of my own, i notice that the
boy is quite solid at the bottom of the photo, and becomes more transparent as
you look up the picture! flamingskullz@hotmail.com |

What
a fantastic photo! It does not look exactly like a double exposure would to me
and I have had many of these. This does look like two photos converged on top of
the other but it is more like the dead being posted over top of the living. A
true psychic photograph. I loved it. I haven't seen something like this in a
long time and it really left no doubt in my own mind that this was a very
important photo. The poor little boy---his eyes tell it all. Thank you for
sharing this with all of us out here! Becky BGumm@aol.com |

I'd
say it's a fake - that hand in the lower right of the photo may be holding up a
transparency of a child whose photo was taken against a white wall. The child's
shadow would look different because of this. Also, the angle of the child's
shadow doesn't match that of the man's, nor does the child's shadow appear to conform
to the shape of the room (although I may be wrong about this.) I DL'ed the photo
& enlarged it, and the 'apparition' of the child does not cover that hand.
Plus, if that hand's not holding up a transparency, what's it doing there? It
looks like it's holding up something. Daniel honors@wichita.edu |

I'll
say what I always say -- I'm no expert, so I don't have the authority to say
whether or not it's real, but it looks a little suspicious to me. If you look at
"real" ghost photos, you'll notice that 9 times out of 10, a ghost's
image is very blurry and distorted. This is quite clearly a little boy,
complete with details right down to his eye color. Being a photographer, I'm of
the opinion that this is probably a double exposure of some kind. Someone
mentioned that the center of this boy's eyes are red. This is actually a
very common occurrence in photographs, especially when the subject is looking
directly into a camera. If this is indeed a faked photo, I commend you on the
realism to it. If it's in fact, real, I would advise learning more about your
house history, and anything you can about the boy. How did he die? What (if
anything) can you do to help him? Faith ArchmageErana@aol.com |

This picture is amazing. I tend to agree about
it being a ghost. The eyes are the scary part. If you look closely
you will see the eyes also have a red center. The shadow also seems
to cover the man behind him. And the shoulder of the man is also casting a
shadow. Is that a fish in the right hand corner? Maybe he is
looking at another spirit in the fish tank. I would keep a candle lit for
him. It must make him feel safe. Sure is a hammy little fellow.
