Pamela writes, "Ok Jim, they've egged me on, so I'm
submitting this pic to you. The picture was not taken by me, but by a
friend of mine at the college we went to in Leysin, Switzerland. We
attended the American College of Switzerland, which was housed in a
building that had originally been a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients
(there's even a creepy morgue deep in the bowels of the building). It
then became known as The Grande Hotel, and the building was finally
sold to the college. There are numerous stories of strange occurrences,
and I myself had a very weird experience in a part of the basement one
night. My roommate was constantly awoken at night in our room by a man
wearing what she described as turn-of-the-century evening wear. She had
posted the picture on our alumni website in a photo album we opened for
nostalgic purposes. The picture was taken at the Christmas party in
1985. I was looking through the pictures the other day and noticed the
strange "thing" in the back behind the guy with the black sweater. She
has given me her permission to send the photo along to you. If you do
decide to post it, I only ask that you blur the faces of the people."
