LESSON - Images of Faces & Human Forms!

Almost half of the photos we receive here at Ghoststudy are human imagery shown in the distance. In other words, the images appear to have human faces or even bodily form. We see many of them in windows, doors, trees, scrubs, etc. The question is always, could it be water spots, leaves, clouds or something else causing the effect? Well, if you have to ask that question, then the photo may need to be considered inconclusive, that is, if enough doubt still remains. We here at Ghoststudy secured the term "Soft Ghost" to label photos that have the illusion of human form. But we don't easily dismiss such photos without deep intense analysis. If the photo looks especially good, and we feel that the background events are not causing the image, then we may actually post the photo in the gallery. The reason being, we would rather not take the chance of tossing out a photo that may very well be evidence of the supernatural or afterlife. I must admit however, most photos do not pass our tests. If we "cannot" easily rule out background images, noise or events at the time, then the photo will probably not be considered for our studies. The photos included below are considered false positives or "Soft Ghosts" because they are simply inconclusive. And since enough doubt remains, these particular photos will no longer be considered for research or study purposes. In conclusion, we are not saying to rule out everything with a leaf, cloud or glare in it, we're just saying, be careful and thorough in your consideration of these types of photos. Especially when considering them for their supernatural significance or contribution.

Soft Ghost :  Photos with the illusion of human form
Likewise a hard ghost would be real and not simply an illusion
We use this term for simplicity, however, the true term is listed below

Pareidolia :  This is the actual term for such an illusion
So in order to be as accurate as possible, this is the term you should use
It's Meaning: Type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct.

Face possibly created from background & glare
Probably a combination of the dogs hair and the sun
Most likely just an illusion on the water, caused by seafoam and/or waves
We're thinking a combination of light & fabric creases
Possibly a combination of sunlight, glare,
and a smudged window, or even a reflection. There is also the possibility of an object inside the room contributing as well.
Face in wood floor. Most likely the pattern of the grain
Photo was not clear enough to make a conclusion
Looks good though... and could possibly be real!
We weren't able to rule out light and the bright wall surface within
Window images are a tough one. Could easily be glare.
Wall image is not clear enough to make a determination and could be part of the rock pattern.
