An Object close to the lens creates glare... this is not a ghost
We see these types of photos submitted quite often. The object in the picture is simply something pushed up in front of the lens at the time of the flash. Probably a cord or camera strap. When an object is that close, the flash will create glare. So what we are seeing is a cord (of some type) with glare from the flash. You can test this by holding a cord or string close to the lens and snap a picture. Do this at night and have the flash on, you will have similar results.
