I'm from New Zealand and 4 weeks ago I
re-located to Christ's church from the small
tourist township of Te Anau ( tee.r.now ).
before I left I got a few photos for
reminiscence. It is absolutely beautiful
down there. All pictures were taken on a
digital cam, including the one I am
submitting to you. I encourage you to view
the source of the picture to confirm that
the only duplication done on this pic was a
small color deduction to make it a smaller
size to send. I worked as concierge at the
Kingsgate Hotel. The photo submitted was my
attempt at capturing the vanishing point of
this particular hallway. This part is known
as the Garden wing. It has massive hallways
and is on a separate site to the hotel but
apart of it none-the-less. there has only
been mutter of certain noises and bizarre
mishaps among the staff that were and still
are employees there but nothing as
convictive as this has yet surfaced. It
undoubtedly shook everybody up and the night
porter wanted nothing to do with the picture
.... understandably so. What's more, is that
both the digital and analog clocks in the
garden wing have a history of never working
properly in that area. some were always out
of sync, the analogs often just did not work
and some digitals were often reset
mysteriously. If anything Jim, I just need
an answer. The hotel isn't old, but Te Anau
has been populated for 115 years. Looking
for answers Jim, maybe a seasoned veteran
like yourself may shed some light."

comments:
There is some
odd pixelization to this ghostly image, but upon
closer inspection, the pixelization is
consistent throughout the photo, which would
seem to indicate that it is caused by the
camera. I love this photo...while some
shadow ghosts have transparency, this one has
the same sort of fluid, "thick", 3 dimensional
look that I've seen in other shadow ghosts
(minus the pixelization).

Science
project creates ghost! |

Wendy writes, "We were taking digital photos
to document a science fair project for my
son for 5th grade. The project
involved creating a tornado in a glass
baking dish, using dry ice, water and a hair
dryer, etc. Thus, the mist was created by
us. The face, however, was a HUGE surprise
when we looked at the photos to print. To
us, it appears to be the face of a child.
But, neither of my two children in the room
at the time of the science experiment looks
even remotely like this child -- and I was
taking the photos. I thought you'd find it
interesting."

comments:
Who's to say
that adding baking soda, dry ice and water in a
dish would not create the proper conditions or
vehicle for an apparition or ghost to appear. I
think we should be open to such things, and I
for one would be willing to do some
experimenting along these lines. |
