Apparition in haunted house!
John writes, "I am the person to the right in the photo with the red t-shirt under the white shirt. The photo was made by a friend of mine in Oct. 1983. We were in an old two story log cabin one night that belonged to another friend of ours. The photo was scanned by my brother and e-mailed to me. The person that took the photo is Ricky Pendleton. He resides with his wife in Kingsport, Tenn. The cabin is located in Hilton, Va. along the bank of the North Fork of The Holston River not far from where June Carter Cash was born and attended school. There had been lots of stories about strange happenings taking place at the cabin long before this photo was made. The photo was made using a 35 mm camera with a camera mounted flash. There were a total of 5 photos on the roll that were unusual, and they were only photos that I was in. There was one that had green and yellow smoke or mist if you will beside of me and 3 others that had balls of light on the walls and curtain where there was no lights, only in the photos. An acquaintance of ours once lived here and told stories about how things would be moved after he had placed them in a certain place. He would place a pistol on the mantle behind me with the barrel pointed toward the wall and would go later to retrieve it and it would be moved 180 degrees with the barrel facing the room. He did this numerous times. He would leave a tall window (you can see the curtain to the window there where the apparition is) unlocked because friends would sometimes come by the cabin after he had retired for the night needing a place to "crash", it was not unusual for him to come downstairs in the mornings and find someone asleep on his couch. One night he had just gone to bed when he heard noises downstairs that sounded like someone was knocking things over and scooting chairs across the floor, he thought well that's one of my friends trying to find the couch he will find it in a minute when he heard footsteps coming upstairs. He thought maybe that's not one of my friends. He waited until the footsteps got to the top of the steps and turned on a light only to discover no one was there. The next morning no one was on the couch. Another time his wife, sister, and he was sitting on the couch listening to a radio when it started to changing stations by its self. My children have recently been photographed in church with balls of light around them, one as my daughter put it is moving because it sort of appears to have motion. I have photographed race cars at the Bristol Drag Strip ( Funny Cars that travel over 300 mph in a quarter mile) using short time lapse to show movement. Every thing else is in focus , not blurred. Anyway the photo negative of the apparition was sent to a Kodak lab for analysis and whatever it is it's on the negative. And It's not a double exposure. No one knows who the young man is, he is carrying some sort of pouch under his left arm."
