Myrtles Plantation
Ghost!
Brian and Colleen,
"After finding ghoststudy.com, my wife and I decided
to look back at some of our old photographs. We
found this one we took at the front of the Myrtles
Plantation in Louisiana. In the window to the left
of the door, we could see a face. I can clearly see
two eyes, a nose, a mustache, chin, and possibly his
neck leading down to a shirt with a collar. What
intrigues me is that the mustache looks like the
kind in style in the mid to late 1800’s. We have
since read that a soldier died of wounds during the
Civil War near the front door. Could it be him? The
photo was taken in December, 2003. The day we
visited was clear and cool. We were there for
several hours, and this was one of the last photos
we took before leaving. It looks to have been taken
in late afternoon, around 4 or 5 o’clock. We used a
Pentax Optio 3.2 megapixel digital camera. Attached
is a copy of the photo “as is”, and the other has
the ghost circled in red."

The Myrtles is said to be haunted by up to 15
different ghosts, including the ghosts of three
family members who served in the Civil War.
One was said to have died of his wounds on the
front porch, right outside this very door.
Could this be his image? |
