The first photo (below) was submitted last week with a concern about what the glow like  thing might be. Dark Angel answered the request with the below explanation:
Thank you for sending us your photo to look at.  What you have in your photo is your camera strap.  Take a look at the strap on your camera, and you’ll probably see that it has a little plastic tab on it, and matches what’s been showing up in your photos.  Keep in mind that when objects are VERY close to the lens, the flash will “wash out” the color from the object, and that’s why your camera strap shows up all glowing white. To keep it from appearing in future photos, we suggest you either take the strap off the camera, or make sure the strap is wrapped around your wrist or hand, and out of the way when you snap your photo. We would love to include your photo in our gallery as this month’s lesson, though, if that’s all right.  _Dark Angel
