A foolhardy
photographer takes snaps of a Grand
Canyon sunset - after casually leaping
between rock columns to reach a
precarious perch 3,000ft up. The mystery
daredevil, wearing flip-flops and
clutching his camera gear along with a
six pack of beer, seemed oblivious to
the yawning chasm below him as he
vaulted from rock to rock to reach his
destination.
And once there he set up his tripod and
snapped away while nonchalantly sipping
from a beer can. Then he calmly repeated
his death-defying journey - seemingly
blissfully unaware of the panic he was
causing among shocked onlookers. Stunned
photographer Hans van de Vorst, 47,
caught the maniac's actions on film
while on a visit to the Arizona beauty
spot. He said: "Nobody bothered with the
sunset - everyone's eyes were on this
man." Hans, 47, from Holland, said he
and other tourists waited in silence to
see if the daredevil would make it back.
He added: "There was complete quiet as
he packed his things up. "But he looked
really relaxed and casually stood up
before jumping across the gap. There
were a few gasps when he jumped. "He
didn't grab the rock properly at first
and slipped back two feet before
clinging on. But even then he didn't
look at all fazed." GRAND DAY OUT * Five

Family on holiday in Australia for a
week and a half when
husband, wife and their 15 year old son
decided to go scuba diving. The
husband is in the navy and has had some
scuba experience.
His son wanted a pic of his mum and
dad in all their gear so got
the underwater camera on the go. When
it came to taking the pic the dad
realized that the son look like he was
panicking as he took it and
gave the "OK" hand sign to see if he
was alright.
The son took the pic and swam to the
surface and back to the
boat as quick as he could so the mum
and dad followed to see if he was
OK. When they got back to him he was
scrambling onto the boat and
absolutely pooping himself.
When the parents asked why he said
"there was a shark behind
you"
and the dad thought he was joking but
the skipper of the boat said it
was true and that they wouldn't believe
him if he told them what it
was.
As soon as they got back to the hotel
they put the pic onto the
laptop and this is what they saw.
Try and tell me you wouldn't have
emptied your entire digestive
system right at the point you saw it
and would you have stayed to take
the picture??
