Receiving answers and coping

A concern was posted on the Ghoststudy message board by a member after being passed up for a job and thinking her prayers were going unanswered:

Jill's answer . . .

Ah, come on now, don't blame God for that one.

Let's think positive. God never closes a door if He doesn't open a window of opportunity. I am a firm believer in that. Did you ever stop to consider that God may have a better job in store for you than even that one? Think positive!

We all go through trials and tribulations, none of us are immune to it. God promises to get us through situations, not over or around them. Sometimes a little rain must fall before that gorgeous rainbow appears in the sky.

Try this, every night when you pray just surrender your entire life and situation to God. Always ask for "thy" will be done, and let God take over and let Him work out the details. When it all gets to be too much and we feel like we can't go on then it is time to "Let Go and Let God".

At times I picture my life as a big wad of yard that is so tangled and matted together that I could never, ever roll it into a nice, neat ball because of all the knots and snarls in it. That is when I hand it over to God and He rolls it up into a nice, neat little ball and hands it back to me. "There ya go, Jill, I fixed it for you. You sure had your life tied up in knots didn't you" "Yes, God, and the more I tried to unknot it the worse it got! Thanks again, Big Guy!"

And sometimes when we pray for something and don't get it, God does answer our prayer, the answer is just No. If you are a parent and your child asks you for something and you don't think they should have it or it would be hurtful for them in the long run, would you go ahead and give it to them? Of course not, no matter how bad they think they want it or need it. Parents know best, and as our Heavenly Father, who knows better than He what is best for us.

Instead of praying for a job start praising Him for the job He is going to give you. Thank you God, for the wonderful job you are sending my way. Thank you God for all the blessings, great and small you have bestowed upon me. Thank you that I am healthy.

Attitude is everything. Is your cup half empty or half full? Only you can decide.

Amethyst

Thanks Jill, for the enlightenment!
