My name is Wendy, I'm 24 and I live outside of St. Louis. I wanted to relay an experience to see if you have heard anything similar in the past. I understand that shadow ghosts are getting a lot of attention these days, but my questions are directed more toward the odd handprints.

I saw what I call "the man" the first time sometime around 1998. It was simply a shadow of a thing that glided across the room and stopped, seemed to look at me, and was gone. I call it the man because I believe it felt masculine. One interesting note is that I moved out of that house and moved 19 hours away, only to see it again. It was witnessed by another person at the new house. I'm not positive that it was the same thing, but it "felt" the same. I've since moved back to the house that I originally saw the thing in, and I've seen it only a handful of times since, once in recent weeks.

The handprints though, are what really perplex me. We've always had strange things happen in this house, and it's not abnormal for my family to notice things that most people wouldn't. The handprints appeared inside my car, of all places.
At the time I was driving an 86 Ford Escort and the prints appeared on the inside upper left hand corner of the window. I noticed them while driving at night.
That they were there startled me enough, but the actual attributes to the prints were very strange. The palms were small, maybe two inches in height. The fingers were long and skinny, pointy towards the top. The thumbs were very short. The prints had a texture that was wrinkly. Look at the back of your hand, that's about what it looked like. They were greasy as well, I could smear it if I touched it.

I have no explanation, logical or otherwise, as to what those prints were. I showed everyone I knew, and heard a variety of theories, but none really satisfied the question. I called into a local radio talk show, called shadowWorlds to relate the experience. One of the people on the show stated that she thought it was alien handprints. I'm not inclined to agree. It isn't that I don't believe that it's a possibility, it just doesn't feel right.

I only tie the handprints to the shadow thing because the events happened within a week or so of each other. The prints appeared another time on the outside drivers side window. A friend tried to take a picture of it, but all that came up was a picture of the window, you couldn't see the prints.

I understand that you are probably very busy. If you have heard of anything similar to the handprints, please let me know. It's one puzzle that I have yet to solve.
