WE WILL MISS YOU ED WARREN !
Ed
Warren passed from this life on August 23rd 2006
.

Ed Warren, world-famous icon
in the field of paranormal research, demonology,
and investigations, passed away today, August
23, after a lengthy illness.
Ed and his wife, Lorraine,
were instrumental in leading the way in
paranormal research. Ed’s specialty was
demonology, while Lorraine is a clairvoyant and
light trance medium. They worked together as a
team.
Their most famous case was
investigating the Amityville haunting. George
Lutz, the central figure of that haunting,
passed away May 8th of this year, of
heart disease.
They were also the
investigators in another famous haunting
involving the Smurl family, which later was made
into a movie called “The Haunted”.
Ed was born in 1926, and from
the age of 5 until the age of 12, he lived in a
haunted house. At age 16, he met his future
wife, Lorraine, while working at a movie theater
in Bridgeport, Conn. At 17, he enlisted in the
Navy on his birthday, and four months later, his
ship sank in the North Atlantic. During the
"survivor leave" that he was given, he married
Lorraine.
After a brief stint as an
artist, Ed’s painting led them to what they
became truly famous for…paranormal
investigations. They formed the New England
Society for Psychic Research in 1952, and
eventually opened the Occult Museum, which
houses artifacts that they’ve collected over the
years through their investigations. They wrote
numerous books on the paranormal and on their
investigations.
John Zaffis, Ed’s nephew, had
this to say about Ed’s passing: “Ed was a great
man and he truly was instrumental in bringing
the paranormal to the public’s attention.”
Funeral services for Ed
Warren will be held later on this week. He is
survived by his wife, Lorraine.
The staff of Ghoststudy.com
would like to offer our deepest condolences to
Ed’s family and friends. We thank you, Ed, for
blazing the trail with your light.
